Friday.

Hmmm, days like this, I got lots of things on my mind, and more things burdening my spirit. And I dunno how to start. If only I could write in tongues as well. Heh.

Okay, shall recall my week then!

Oh anyway to finish up Day 4 of the Emerge Conference!

Niu Nai from Energy and Sun ( Ho Yeow Sun) came to sing! From what I heard from my cell leader, Sun only started singing in 2003. In 3 years, she's topping charts in the US and UK already. Amazing =) From a worship leader to an international pop star.

I don't really know who's Niu Nai, but he's really good at breakdancing.

Went up to stage with Sharon and Lixia, for the first time in front of 10,000 of the church, to receive my digicam. Hallelujah!

Went shopping with Sis Mingli on Wed in Orchard, and then had dinner with the cell group at Food Gallen (If that's how you spell it)beside Esplanade to send Mark off to NS. We met the BK, KF, Wil, Nic, Charis, Jingyi and Minh there. And after walking for a while around Marina Square, we met them again in Cafe Cartel.

On Thursday. Went to school and met an friend I met a long time ago for lunch at city hall. Went to BBG at night. Saw Nanz Chong ( Author of 1 Business, 99 Lessons), Elim Chew and Belinda Lee there. Haha, the businessman group gathering is star-studded man. Pastor Meng preached about having true friends. He shared about a really touching story with Pastor Kong that happened long time ago. Anw Pastor Meng's a really humourous preacher and I really enjoy his sermons.

Went supper with the guys later at night, BK, KF, Rach, Mac, Wil, Jayne, Grace, Jingyi, Minh. Had some prata and teh ice.And went to Seletar Dam after that to enjoy the night breeze. The nights away from the city are really beautiful.

Okay, I found what was burdening my spirit, and I'll quote a verse that I memorized during the Word Power competition.=)

Habakkuk 3:17-19
Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls; yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.

Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life;In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

And of cos,

Psalms 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

(Fiction)
In a certain HDB flat, there was this family of two. Mandy and her dad.
Now Mandy was really young and she was still crawling, and didn't know how to walk.

Her dad loved Mandy deeply and he wanted to teach Mandy how to start walking on her own. So he did it the traditonal way. He would stand on the other side of room, and gesture to her, asking her to walk over.

When Mandy tried the first few times, she kept falling, and it hurt badly.

She was really angry. How could her dad let her get hurt? She blamed him for the falls.
" If you love me, you would never let me fall! " cries Mandy. Her dad felt bad, and went over to comfort her.

However, the next day, he wanted Mandy to try again. Now Mandy got really pissed that her dad made her do it, because it hurt when she fell. She couldn't understand why her dad allowed her to fall like that.

So one day, this stranger came along. He said," Hey, I have this superb invention. When you sit in this machine, you don't have to bother trying to walk anymore! You can just press that button and you can travel to anywhere you feel like!"

Mandy loved the invention, and she said," I don't like my dad, he makes me fall but you're so nice to me, you make me this invention so that I won't ever have to fall again, can you be my dad?"

" Of course, and I'll give you all that you want so that you won't ever have to suffer any form of discomfort again!"

So the girl left her real dad, and left with the stranger, never acknowledging her dad, who loved her truly and only wanted her to grow.

*****************************

I can only pray for the little girl, that one day, she'll go back to her dad.
